The reason for hatred is because of such bullies. Using cheap advantages to get the better of someone, or thinking that they are way superior.

I have experienced such people all around me. They think they can bully me because I dont retaliate and just act like normal.
Currently I have a groupmate who is way older than me and obviously he is using his age to act like my superior.
